We Build The Idea
Location, light, mood, timing, and purpose are considered before the first frame is made.
Built from legacy. Sharpened through mentorship. Powered by a crew that believes the experience matters as much as the final image.
The banner above tells the whole story: the man who inspired the beginning, the mentor who raised the standard, and the person responsible for carrying that influence forward. Every production is built on what came before it — and the people standing beside us now.
Rekall Media Group didn't start with a business plan. It started during the pandemic — with a camera, some borrowed time, and a box of vintage Nikon lenses inherited from a grandfather who spent decades photographing athletes around Auburn University.
Those lenses came with something more than glass and glass coatings. They came with a philosophy: document what people build, not just how they look. Make the subject the hero. Capture the earned moment, not the posed one.
That idea — that a photograph should reflect the work behind it — became the foundation for everything Rekall does.
Photography is a craft. And like any craft, it demands real mentorship. Rekall was built under the guidance of Brett Seeley — based in Denver, widely recognized as one of the greatest fitness photographers alive — and with the influence of industry leaders like Nino Batista, Lindsay Adler, and Renee Robyn.
That training shows in every image. The dramatic lighting. The intentional direction. The understanding that a great fitness photo isn't just technically correct — it has to feel like something.
As a proud member of The Creative Standard — Brett's elite photography community — Rekall brings a level of craft to Chattanooga that athletes here haven't had access to before.
This isn't a photography business that dabbles in fitness. Rekall Media Group is built from the inside of the fitness world. Ashley — co-founder, creative collaborator, and the woman behind some of Rekall's most recognized work — is a competitive athlete herself. She knows what it feels like to stand on that stage. She knows what the prep costs.
That perspective changes everything about how we shoot. We're not observers. We understand the sacrifice. We know which moment to capture because we've lived it from the other side of the lens.
Great event coverage is never one person standing in the right place with a camera. It is communication, trust, timing, anticipation, and a team willing to move as one when the moment only happens once.
This is the Rekall team at the Chattanooga Fitness Expo — the people responsible for making sure the competition, backstage energy, athlete stories, and moments between the moments are all captured with the same level of intention.
Location, light, mood, timing, and purpose are considered before the first frame is made.
We do not force moments. We create the environment where people feel confident enough to become part of the idea.
The hero frame matters. So do the reactions, transitions, and unplanned seconds that make the story feel real.
Practical effects, controlled light, movement, and detail turn a session into a visual production.
Every final image is selected and refined to serve the story — never processed just to fill a gallery.
The goal is not simply a strong image today. It is something worth returning to years from now.
These partnerships weren't handed to us. They were earned through years of showing up, doing the work, and delivering images that made the events proud to call us their official media team.
Official photography and video team for one of Tennessee's premier bodybuilding and fitness competitions. We've covered every stage, every competitor, every moment worth keeping.
Official media team for C3 — Chattanooga's beloved pop culture convention. From celebrity photo ops to cosplay showcases, we document the culture and the community that makes it extraordinary.
Bring the idea. We will help build the atmosphere, direction, and imagery around it.
